Is SOA a new paradigm?

Farber: One common theme throughout conferences this week: the move toward service oriented architecture. It's a major shift, and a new paradim for how applications are built.

Gillmor: Why do you say it's a new paradigm?

Farber: Well, maybe it's a new marketing paradigm. The notion of assembling applications out of components and objects, and of using web services as a way to get more reuse, has been around for a long time. But it's hard to get everyone on the same page.
